Jolee . . . sure hope you see this! So sorry to hear Little Buddy has gone missing. I can't help you look for him as I live in New Albany but I hope and pray you find your treasured family member soon. I can't imagine the agony you -- and your precious little one -- are going through right now. I'd be absolutely heartbroken and inconsolable if something like this ever happened to my sweet Gretchen !!!!! :-( I saw a story online just yesterday regarding what is referred to as "pet-flipping". That is where people steal lost dogs off streets -- and even right out of people's own yards -- and sell them for a quick buck on sites like Craigslist. These crooks also scour "lost dog, found dog" sites, claiming a "found dog" as their own only to turn around and hock the dog for anywhere from $50 to $1,000, depending on the popularity of the breed. Now, I'm not saying for sure that's what happened to you but along with getting the word out through social media sites like Facebook, posting flyers, putting "lost dog" ads in your local paper, checking with animal control and the police, you might also want to keep an eye out on the "dogs for sale" section of Craigslist too -- just in case.
